People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.
by Dr. Kent M. Keith
Today you are one step closer to a new you and/or a new relationship where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.
As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life for the present and future. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
The past is supposed to be a guidepost, not a hitching post.
"Every problem has a gift for you in it's hands." (Richard Bach)
As a therapist, my role is to affirm, listen and assist you in drawing upon what is already intuitively known. I assist you, both as a collaborator and consultant, in tapping into your own innate capabilities by being respectful, non-judgemental and caring to help you achieve your goals. This allows you to be an active participant in the process.
Therapy, when the chemistry is right between client and therapist, helps people help themselves during hard times. It can be an effective way to facilitate growth, encourage effective coping and provide support when life is hard. Ultimately, therapy works only when it helps people find their own strength. In most studies of the treatment conducted over the last 40 years, the average treated person is better off than 80% of the untreated sample. Clients who are motivated, engaged and connected with the therapist in a common endeaver will benefit the most from therapy.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, relationship, career, health, or spiritual journey, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
Let's focus less on what's wrong in your life and begin thinking more about what's possible.
